The National Gaming Control Board (NGCB) is the regulatory authority overseeing Papua New Guinea’s gaming industry under the Gaming Control Act (2007) and other relevant legislation. Our mission is to ensure that gaming contributes meaningfully to the country’s long-term economic and social development.

As the industry’s regulatory body, we establish and enforce the gaming regulatory framework, issue licenses, and monitor industry compliance, among other key responsibilities. In our commitment to continuous improvement, we recently launched our first-ever five-year corporate plan, endorsed by our Board, the Prime Minister, and the Minister responsible for NGCB.

Additionally, we have developed our inaugural strategic plan (2014-2017), which defines our vision and provides a clear roadmap for implementing our strategic initiatives. Through effective governance and oversight, we strive to uphold the integrity of PNG’s gaming industry while maximizing its positive impact on our nation.
